These sessions are aimed at those looking to learn from the best. Dan Mumford will head up an instructive class on using digital tablets for illustration. Illustration Unplugged is a workshop with Miss Led offering advice on stepping away from the screen and improving analogue drawing skills.

Digital Tablet Illustration with Dan Mumford
10AM - 1PM
When it comes to hard-working illustrators, few are more more dynamic than Dan Mumford, who uses crisp and highly intricate line work to create strong designs full of vibrant colours and contrasts. This hands-on workshop will offer a journey through his unique drawing and colouring process using digital tablets, touching on lighting and colour and covering the hows and whys of creating great composition. By the end of the session, your group will have worked together, with the guidance of Dan, to create a collaborative piece of digital art that features your own style and spin.

Dan Mumford is a freelance illustrator working from Studio100 in London. Over the past 10 years, he has worked within the pop culture and music scene creating everything from album covers and screenprints to new interpretations of classic film posters. Clients include Disney, Sony, Iron Maiden as well as many other bands and record labels from around the world.
Illustration Unplugged with Miss Led

We live in an age of digital image making and sharing, where hundreds of thousands of images are uploaded daily to websites, blogs and social media apps. Miss Led has a foot in both worlds, choosing to draw both traditionally and digitally when creating her captivating works. New, experienced and advanced artists and illustrators will learn new approaches to drawing, painting, playful mark making, and how to choose the right tools and techniques to bring something really fresh to their own illustration work. Miss Led will deliver group demonstrations, one-to-one feedback and offer a collection of art material samples to take away.

Miss Led aka Joanna Henly is an artist and illustrator based in East London. She is known for obsessively detailed and lushly rendered pieces across a wide range of media and scale including paper, canvas, murals, installation and digital. These have earned her recognition including selection for ‘Best of British Illustration’, exhibition in London’s Saatchi Gallery and a client list spanning fashion, consumer and media brands.

Movie lovers! Capture the essence of your favourite films in this workshop by Sharm Murugiah. He’ll push you to think outside the box, discussing ideas of abstraction, surrealism and juxtaposition through illustration and art. By the end, you’ll have learnt how to add that little bit of magic into your own playful and clever movie poster.
