Create a stunning Delft-inspired tile by hand. In this 1.5-hour workshop, you will transfer a template of your choosing onto a tile and then color and paint it with beautiful shades of blue. You can also bring your picture or template or create your own design on the spot!
Once complete, you will take the tile home to bake, at which point it will become completely permanent. After baking, this exquisite tile can serve as a coaster or be displayed on the wall as a unique masterpiece.
All materials, including step-by-step instructions, are provided. This workshop is for everyone, regardless of artistic skill level. Tea, coffee, and sparkling water are also included.
About the Artist:
Sarah Margaret Jones, or Jonesy, is an artist specializing in arts education. She holds a degree in art history from the University of North Florida and a Master of Education in visual arts from DePaul University.
After teaching in Chicago, she moved to Dubai for an IB school position and then to Amsterdam in 2016 to teach at the International School of Amsterdam. Currently based in Amsterdam, she travels the world sharing her passion for art.
