Event description

Description

Presenter: Dr Aimee Blackledge, LDC Development Team

The second instalment of Designing & Facilitating Workshops will explore how to design an overall workshop. Together we will explore how to design workshop activities that support reflective observation, abstract conceptualisation and active experimentation. You will consider the entire narrative of a workshop, including the overall and individual learning outcomes, experiential learning exercises, reflection, and evaluation. We will also explore the wider national context, such as the Researcher Development Framework. During the workshop, you will outline and share your workshop plans and receive feedback on ways to go forward in the Development Tutor Scheme.

You are strongly recommended to attend ‘Designing & Facilitating Workshop I’ and the webinar, ‘Introduction to Facilitation’ prior to your attendance at this workshop. This workshop is open to all and also contributes to the programme of workshops available for those applying for the Development Tutor Scheme.

This interactive session is part of the ‘facilitation’ development theme and offers opportunities to gain skills/behaviours outlined in the following Researcher Development Framework (RDF) subdomains: D1 Working with others, D2 Communication, B1 Personal qualities, B2 Self-management, B3 Professional and career development.

Registration: You are recommended to use your University of Liverpool email to register on Eventbrite and then the calendar invitation will be added to your University calendar. We reserve the right to remove attendees who do not appear to be members of this University.
