The Rail Alliance and the Birmingham Centre for Railway Research and Education (BCRRE) will be running its second Sustainability and Decarbonisation event for everyone in the rail industry interested in these themes.
This event will take place online due to the current lock-down position and you will be able to access it easily and simply, via a unique link to the Rail Alliance website.
Championing sustainability and decarbonisation across the rail industry is a major focus for both the Rail Alliance and BCRRE. The ambition of this event is to provide a space for companies and individuals to come together to discuss and demonstrate the latest innovation, research and policy impact that is taking place right now to meet the government agenda in decarbonising the railway. 
We have categorised rail decarbonisation into three themes which will form the focus of three webinars in order to capture and showcase key information whilst addressing this topic for all audiences.

<LI>Tuesday 19th May 10.30am– 12 noon  Theme: Policy: including government and industry members. </LI>
<LI>Wednesday 20th May 10.30am – 12 noon  Theme: Research: including our 6 core capability areas part of the BCRRE Centre of Excellence in Rail Decarbonisation and current projects influencing change.   </LI>
<LI>Thursday 21st May 10.30am – 12 noon Theme: Innovation: including our partner Porterbrook and Hitachi alongside our Digi-Rail project and businesses.  </LI>

 The webinars will consist of presentations and live Q&A sessions with a number of academic and industry members so you can hear about current thinking and projects, and find out how you can benefit for yourself or your company. 
The "ONference" will be hosted on the Rail Alliance website. Important registration information: 
Please note that by registering for this event you will have access to all three days’ worth of sessions. We will send a link on Monday the 18th of May which will be active for all three days; we will also send an email each morning just to remind you that the sessions will be starting soon so that you have the link to hand. You will be asked to confirm your name and email address on each of the days before viewing the webinar - this will be used as a register so we know who has viewed and therefore who receives the relevant follow up information.
