Early stage founders from Newcastle and across the North East - jump onboard for 2 immersive days of inspiration, learning and connections!

The Catalyst (meeting point)

When starting a business, one of the most important actions is to start building connections to your local business community to get you and your business known. In a recent survey, early stage founders tell us that they struggle with knowing:1.	Who/why/what is strategic networking?2.	What’s available in the local area?3.	Who else is running a business to learn from?4.	Which awards to apply to and are they worth it?In partnership with Newcastle City Council and part funded by the European Regional Development Fund 2014-2020 programme, FIRST are delighted to announce a 2 day immersive journey to explore those 4 questions.

09:30 – 16:30 - Day 1: Inspirational Bus Tour A whistle stop tour of entrepreneurial spaces across Newcastle, from the creative and arts, to botanics and social enterprises.We begin the day at our meeting point - The Catalyst NE4 5TG - for coffee and connections to then board the bus to enjoy the following:BUS STOP 1: JOHN MARLEY CENTRE - A thriving creative hub in the west end of Newcastle, the John Marley Centre, Newcastle is in an Art Deco former school. With studios, workshop rooms, catering classrooms and pre-built recording studios, the centre includes an enclosed private garden and communal room. Co founder, Alex Breeze will be giving the tour and an insight into their entrepreneurial journey.BUS STOP 2: PNE - A social incubator and new, co working space in the heart of Newcastle. Listen and learn from purposeful entrepreneurs and find out about the business support PNE can provide you with for your venture.B﻿US STOP 3: Hoults Yard - Steeped in urban history, this business hub has every tenant possible, from micro breweries and mini golf to hydroponics and event planners. Charlie Hoult will be giving a guided tour along with a meet and greet of some of the yard&#x27;s superb tenants.

09:30 – 16:30 - Day 2: Opportunity &amp; IdeasEssential workshops that include how to write a killer award application and a focus on strategic networking. Lunch, followed by an exclusive event meeting senior leaders from across the North East.WORKSHOP 1: How To Ace Awards by team MOJAAwards have a massive impact in raising your profile and bring unmatched benefits to your business.
