DevelopHER Code Club is a group where 12-18 year olds can learn to code in a supportive environment. As this is a taster event we are inviting coders who haven't attended one of our courses in the past. We'll have mentors on hand to help with a variety of different tasks that we'll be getting students to do. For those with no knowledge - we'll have a mentor who can get you started with the basics.
DevelopHER Code Club runs courses that are designed to give students an insight into the real world of technology where all our mentors are working, and to give a fresh approach from what they might learn in the classroom. We aim to inspire students to want to persue their studies in computing, and for students to gain real-world skills as well as meeting other like minded students. 
Please can all coders bring a laptop - please let me know if you cannot bring a laptop. There is parking available just across the road in Riverside Multistorey carpark - parents are welcome to stay if they wish.
Light refreshments will be provided - but not lunch. Please email vickie@vickieallen.co.uk if your child has any allergies. 
At all times there will be at least one DBS checked adult supervising the coders. Coders will not be left alone with non-DBS checked adults.
