These include data analytics, cyber security, augmented and virtual reality, blockchain and artificial intelligence. In order for a workforce and society to grow with technology, there needs to be a massive upskilling and reskilling around the world. A 2018 report by Lloyds Bank highlighted that 5.4 million working adults in the UK didn’t have basic digital literacy skills. In the future, the ability to code will be just as crucial as maths and English, with coding already being added to the national curriculum. This webinar, hosted by BPP’s Louise Ball, will explore some of the best starting points for individuals and organisations looking to break into the analytics industry. Her role involves working alongside clients to understand the challenges they face as a result of advancements in technology, which then feed into BPP’s Product Design team to ensure programmes are not only innovative, but also meet employer requirements for future skills. She is passionate about development and has direct experience as a former apprentice, in addition to being heavily involved with Trailblazers, funding reforms and the Apprenticeship Levy, which allows firms to pay for employee training through a number of programmes.
