Developing a Values Based Business - Salt Network Edinburgh Event

Christian Aid has worked in partnership with the private sector over many years, but the Salt Business Network provides a new opportunity to deepen this relationship. We are inviting business leaders to work with us, and with each other, to create a unique movement that unites the strengths of faith and business to tackle global poverty. This network will be motivated to learn about, support and engage in sustainable solutions for some of the world’s poorest communities, re-framing what it means to be in business.Christian Aid is a Christian organisation that insists the world can and must be swiftly changed to one where everyone can live a full life, free from poverty. We provide urgent, practical and effective assistance where need is great, tackling the effects of poverty as well as its root causes.

<P CLASS="js-xd-read-more-contents l-mar-top-3"><EM><STRONG>Guest Speaker: Marshall Dallas</STRONG><BR></EM></P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"><EM>Marshall Dallas joined the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) at the end of 2014 spearheading a new direction for Scotland’s leading conference venue and hitting record profit, ahead of schedule, in 2016. During this period, Marshall led the EICC into winning a series of UK and international industry awards and generating over £50 million for the local economy. The EICC’s newly developed mission is “to create an environment which inspires ideas that change the world”. The venue is also on target to becoming one of the most sustainable and accessible conference centres on the international scene. In 2018, Marshall was awarded the Institute of Director’s public sector ‘Director of the Year’ Award. </EM></P>
<P CLASS="js-xd-read-more-contents l-mar-top-3">This workshop is open to all existing Salt members and any Christian Business Leader who wants to find out more about how faith and business can unite to tackle poverty. </P>
<P CLASS="js-xd-read-more-contents l-mar-top-3">Attendees will be inspired and supported to think about how they can put values to work by leading change in their own business, provoking a community of change across faith and business networks and resourcing change by supporting entrepreneurs in the global south. </P>
<P CLASS="js-xd-read-more-contents l-mar-top-3">Workshops are free to attend but attendees are encouraged to make a donation towards Christian Aid's work. </P>
<P CLASS="js-xd-read-more-contents l-mar-top-3">Attendees are invited to join us for a meal after the event (at attendees expense)</P>
