Developing an effective Attendance Strategy

Developing an effective Attendance Strategy

Overview

Explore how we create and maintain significantly above national attendance rates for all.

Join Trinity Academy Leeds for TAL Attendance Strategy, a free event exploring how a non-selective, inner-city academy creates and maintains attendance rates that are significantly above national figures for all groups of students.

This session will share the systems, routines and culture that underpin strong attendance, showing how clear expectations, consistent follow-up and relational approaches work together to help pupils attend regularly and succeed.

Colleagues will hear how attendance is monitored, analysed and acted upon so that barriers can be identified early and support can be targeted effectively.

The event will also explore how staff, students and families are engaged in building a positive attendance culture, where every day in school is valued and every pupil is encouraged to feel connected, known and supported.

Attendees will be invited to reflect on how strategic leadership, pastoral systems and classroom culture can combine to improve attendance across different pupil groups.

This free event is ideal for school leaders, attendance leads, pastoral leaders, SENDCos and colleagues interested in strengthening attendance practice and improving outcomes through sustained, inclusive whole-school approaches.
