Explore how a simple yet highly effective literacy strategy supports all students to thrive at an inner-city academy.
Join Trinity Academy Leeds for TAL Literacy Strategy, a free event exploring how a simple yet highly effective whole-school literacy strategy can support all students to thrive in an inner-city academy.
This session will share how literacy is embedded as a core part of teaching and learning, helping pupils access the curriculum with greater confidence, develop stronger reading and communication skills, and build the foundations they need for success across subjects.
Colleagues will hear how a clear and consistent approach can make literacy manageable, purposeful and impactful for staff, while ensuring that students receive regular opportunities to practise, apply and improve key literacy skills.
The event will also explore how strategic routines, classroom practice and targeted support can work together to remove barriers, strengthen confidence and improve outcomes for learners with a wide range of starting points. Attendees will be invited to reflect on how the principles behind the TAL Literacy Strategy could be adapted within their own settings.
This free event is ideal for school leaders, literacy leads, curriculum leaders, SENDCos and classroom teachers who are committed to making literacy a powerful driver of achievement, inclusion and opportunity.
