Description
We are convening a knowledge exchange and learning event as part of our Connect, Reflect and Learn CPD series on behalf of the Practice Educator Learning Partnership (PELP). This free event is for any practice educators or supervisors supporting social work students and for practitioners interested in being involved in practice education. This event is hosted by the Pan Dorset Teaching Partnership involving BCP Council, Dorset Council, Wiltshire Council and Bournemouth University.
The event theme focuses on looking at how we develop a toolkit to support social work students and learners. We will be considering ways of supporting students and sharing tools and activities we can use to support work-based learning. We want this to be an opportunity to share good practice as well as gain new ideas in how we support social work students in their practice learning! This will be via a keynote, participatory group activities, networking, information sharing and workshops. You will be asked to bring and share a practice tool from your toolkit and there will be prizes for those voted for by participants.
This 'in person' event is designed to bring practitioners together to engage in learning, share ideas and reinvigorate practice education. There is no charge to attend. Please book onto this event to reserve your place!
There will be some refreshments provided but please bring your lunch. There are also a range of options to purchase food if you wish. Please bring a water refill bottle as there are stations on campus or free refills.
Accessibility - BGB is an accessible building and all workshops and spaces will be accesible and inclusive. If you have any access requirements which you need us to address please contact the organiser Ros Dray (rosdray@bournemouth.ac.uk) to discuss.
On behalf of the Practice Educator Learning Partnership (PELP) and the Pan Dorset and Wiltshire Teaching Partnership we look forward to welcoming you!
