DHACA Day VIII
Event Information
Description
The principal focus of this day will be on customer mapping - understanding how best to find customers in the UK health system for your products and services.
Siobhan Jones, a Deputy Director in the Department of Health, will be presenting on the findings from the Accelerated Access Review, (the public report from which has now been delayed by the EU referendum). Just to remind, the AAR is aimed specifically at working out how best to encourage innovation in the NHS. She has also invited John Currie, a senior procurement manager in NHS England, to talk to us about how NHS England is seeking to encourage engagement with SMEs, and tips on what to do and what not to do when seeking to sell to the NHS.
Finally Karen Livingstone National Director of SBRI Healthcare, NHS England, & Director of Partnerships and Industry, Eastern AHSN will tell us about the superb resources that the Eastern AHSN offers to companies to help them identify & contact the right person in the NHS to pitch their products and services to.
We will finish the morning with a short group session inviting members to discuss the principal issues they have come up against when trying to sell to the NHS. After lunch we will reconvene in groups to discuss what approaches have worked best in overcoming the obstacles previously identified.
We will finish the day with a short presentation by the IOT & Security SIG on what they have been doing, and from me on what has happened in DHACA over the past three months, most notably on medical apps.
