Six characters are invited onto the set of DID YOU NOT KNOW, the debate show, to dissect the discourse self-declared as knowledge and truth. Echoing and overlayed with archival sounds and images, the characters’ words and perspectives change as dichotomies of the near and the far, the then and the now, seem to collapse more blatantly than ever.In distance and proximity, they are placed and move between beliefs and (in)actions, oscillating between disassociation and political consciousness, in real-time.In harmony or dissonance, within specific constellations, they cover, question, and process the meaning of standing on the right side of history; the reason why is it so easy to speak about peace and so hard to speak about justice; and whether the breaking news do break the current of things within a country at war – by proxy.DID YOU NOT KNOW is an intimate polyphonic chorus of usually muffled and dubbed voices shouting to re-focus. The performance concludes by opening the stage to the audience with a Q&A to join the show – off.
