Dig for Dun!
Overview

Ever wondered what archaeologists do? Ever wanted to make your own historical discovery? Now’s your chance!

Our excavation in 2026 will further uncover the remains of the medieval castle and search for evidence of how people lived and worked in and around the estate.

Audience: The dig is open to all (children must be accompanied by an adult) and the dig is accessible via gravelled paths and lawn grass. No experience is necessary, and all equipment will be provided.

Come along to dig for the day, the week or drop in for a chat about what we find!

Date and Time: 25th & 26th July: 10am to 4pm.
