Digging Deep - Sunday Social Community Compost Workshop

Want to get involved in grassroot food waste recycling? Join us for a lively afternoon of learning dreaming and plotting together.

Curious about What to do with your food waste? What makes a healthy compost pile? What worms want? And how composting together can be a step towards transforming local economies and building community wealth??

Join us for Digging Deep ~ Community Composting at Calthorpe Community Garden, on Sunday 22nd Feb from 1:30 - 5:30. Lunch included! This workshop is particularly for people who live, study and / or work near to Calthorpe Community Garden in Kings Cross. It will include a seed swap, so bring seeds to share! There will be live demonstrations, games, videos and collective dreaming.

We will also be celebrating the launch of Calthorpe’s new composting scheme, which will collaborate with neighbours, schools, local businesses and institutions, to make their compost piles bigger and better than ever before!
