The resistance to change may be due to the breakneck pace at which new technologies develop. However, the future shift to digitise working practices is inevitable. Businesses working in the built environment sector need to review their long-standing methods and recognise that old measures will soon be replaced by more digitised solutions. It’s not a now-or-never situation, rather the-sooner-the-better one. It will be of particular interest to property developers, designers, house builders and product designers looking at how to employ technology into their building projects. Your organisersZero Waste Scotland is funded by the Scottish Government and the European Regional Development Fund to deliver the Resource Efficient Scotland Programme. The Resource Efficient Scotland construction SME Advice and Support Service offers free advice and technical support to Scottish business, helping them embed circular economy principles into the design and construction of our built environment. The Service will be re-launched in October 2019, and through the implementation of recommendations by recipients of the service, aims to contribute significantly to the Scottish Government’s strategic economic objectives, climate change, energy efficiency and zero waste targets. The Construction Scotland Innovation Centre is one of eight industry led and demand driven Innovation Centres supported by Scottish Funding Council, Scottish Enterprise, Highlands &amp; Islands Enterprise and 13 Scottish university partners. We can provide your business with a ‘one-stop shop’ for accessing a team of experts and public support.The Supply Chain Sustainability School is an industry led initiative, backed by the UK&#x27;s top construction contractors and clients. The School helps all companies in the construction, civil engineering, building and built environment sectors meet the challenging targets set out by the UK Construction Strategy 2025. It provides FREE practical support in the form of CPD accredited e-learning modules and live training workshops, tailored self-assessment and action plans, bench-marking tools, networking opportunities and access to thousands of online resources. The School is shortly to launch its new training platform, which will be presented as part of this event.
