Thank you for your interest in our Digital Inc. Supported Internship information session!Digital Inc. is a specialist programme aimed at training young people with SEND and improving their prospects of gaining meaningful employment in a creative and/or digital role.We are passionate about driving up the life chances of young people with SEND and are excited to share this with you. This event will be a mixture of presentations, video and interviews from a range of people involved in the development of this supported internship, from:- Digital Advantage on our motivations for setting up the programme and what interns can expect to experience - The Manchester College on how they operate supported internships - A Deputy Headteacher from an SEND school rated Outstandingby Ofsted in 2019- An interview with the very first Digital Inc. agency intern and his mother on the positive impacts of joining the programme since Spring 2019 As well as the information shown above, you will be given the opportunity to take part in a live Question &amp; Answer session that will run during and after video presentations before learning how you/your child can apply for a place on this, first of its kind opportunity! To join, you will need to have an active Facebook account. If you do not have one, then you can create one here: https://www.facebook.com/, then follow these steps:Search for and ‘like’ the Digital Advantage pageVisit the page at 5.55pm on Tuesday 28th April and you will see a ‘live’ video.If the video does not ‘autoplay’ then click ‘play’, sit back and enjoy the show!We want everybody to have the best experience possible and so To give you the best chance of a great online experience on the night, please see some tips below.Getting the most out of your internet connectionThe event will be being streamed ‘live’ and so will use a high proportion of your internet bandwidth. Here are some tips so you get the best possible experience on the night:Reset your router - sometimes your router can be ‘tired’ or overworked. About 30 minutes beforehand, consider turning it off, leaving for 60 seconds and then re-starting to ensure maximum capacityLimit the other devices on your network for the duration of the eventEnsure no other devices are streaming video or audio content during the event as this will draw bandwidth capacity away from the device on which you are watching. Other useful tipsMake sure sound is enabled on both your device and on the Facebook Live video streamIf your stream freezes for any reason, wait a few seconds as it may ‘catch up’ However, if it does not, then simply refresh the screen and when the video reappears, click ‘play’ and you will be able to rejoin.We hope you enjoy the evening!
