This training is for ACC Education employees only. Please register using your work email. The BBC Micro:Bit workshop will have two tutors, Martin Evans &amp; Philip Thompson and will cover a wide range of applications &amp; uses of the Micro:Bit. The AM section of the workshop will start with a basic overview of the BBC Micro:Bit – exploring all the “on board” inputs &amp; outputs on a V2.2 unit. We also talk through programming techniques &amp; concepts to support these elements. These include: Buttons Accelerometer Light / Heat sensors Radio / Bluetooth Microphone LEDs SpeakerWith each “feature”, we will run a “code along” step by step guide to explore the feature in question, with time to play &amp; experiment based on individuals’ curiosity.We’ll have a “working lunch” where participants can still ask us questions &amp; specifics then, depending on skill levels &amp; confidence, the PM session will take two possible routes, Option A : Pairing teachers (experienced &amp; novice) – giving the “teams” challenges to make something on the Micro:Bit based on specific requirements – We will conclude the day with an overview of the Micro:Bit / Make Code website &amp; resources &amp; “what next” ideas /suggestions. Please note that lunch is not included. Tea/coffee will be provided.
