Digital Maritime Workshop

The Web Science Institute was launched in 2014 to bring together the University of Southampton's world-class, interdisciplinary, socio-technical expertise in web science, data science and artificial intelligence (AI). Its aim is to critically examine society's use of online technologies and promote their role in tackling global challenges.

This event is co-organised by Turing at Southampton and Southampton Marine and Maritime Institute

University of Southampton, Boldrewood Innovation Campus, Informal Learning Space (ILS), Level 2, Building 178

This afternoon workshop will bring together the University's experts in marine and maritime with those from data science and artificial intelligence in order to define the University's key competencies in Digital Maritime and encourage further research collaborations between these groups. There is a small amount of seed funding available which will be awarded to the most promising idea(s) from the Workshop for short-term projects. More information about this will be announced at the Workshop.We are aware that there is planned UCU strike action on 4 March. If we decide to postpone the event, registrants will be notified by Friday 28 February.Provisional Programme
