Leeds Business School invites interested employers to a free lunch to find out about our new apprenticeship launching in June 2024 - Digital Marketer Degree Apprenticeship. The event will feature a keynote with seasoned marketer, Josie O'Donovan, founder of Piper Strategy Ltd.

A major focus of the Digital Marketer Degree Apprenticeship is that of applied learning, so learning by doing. You can find out more about this with some free practical, hands-on workshops where you’ll explore two of the following tools - Canva, Google Analytics 4 and Chat GPT.

Canva is a graphic design tool that can help you create professional-looking visual content for your marketing materials.

Google Analytics is a tool that can help provide valuable insights into your website's performance and user behaviour, helping you optimize your website and increase conversions.

ChatGPT is an AI tool that can be used for a myriad of different things, such as automating customer service enquiries, providing 24/7 support or even helping generate copy.

By learning about these tools, you can improve your digital marketing efforts, understand key website data, and enhance customer support.

Our keynote presentation will be on "How to measure marketing effectiveness"

Marketing effectiveness is about how successful your marketing plans are at achieving business goals. At the top level this is likely to be boosting revenue while spending less on getting new customers. But how do you actually measure this? What numbers should you keep an eye on to know if your marketing is working well, and how do you set realistic goals?

In Josie’s talk you will learn:

• How to set marketing objectives

• What metrics to track for each channel in your plan

• How to set relevant targets

• How to use results to support strategic decisions

About Josie

Josie learned to love marketing whilst working at Volkswagen Group UK. There she led multi-million pound advertising campaigns, working with some of the top London agencies. She now runs her own business, helping firms shape up their marketing effectiveness to deliver tangible business results.
