Plymouth Business School are organising a two-hour Digital Marketing Workshop for small businesses, social enterprises and not-for-profit organisations. It will be held in Rolle Building on the University of Plymouth campus starting at 6pm and finishing at 8pm on Wednesday 7th June 2023.

The workshop is designed to offer practical solutions for those organisations that believe digital marketing is important for them, but have limited knowledge, skills or experience to make best use of digital technology. The workshop is designed to give you knowledge and insight to allow you to more effectively apply digital technologies within your marketing strategy. Numbers of attendees are being limited to allow you to get maximum benefit for your specific needs.

There will be two separate workshops running concurrently, if you want to attend both you can send two delegates from your organisation. Both workshops are being run by Plymouth Business School academics who are experienced at supporting organisations apply digital marketing. The workshops are designed to offer you practical insights. One workshop will look at the broader issues relating to digital marketing strategy and planning, and the other will focus on the specific use of social media.

Workshop 1 with Dr Hanne Knight - Key Hints and Tips to Improve your Digital Marketing

This workshop is for those who want a better understanding of how to use digital marketing to meet your wider marketing needs. You will be looking at the big strategic picture of using digital marketing from planning to the execution of detailed digital marketing campaigns. We will explore how to execute responsible digital marketing by outlining ethical questions around digital channels. We will cover tips on the mistakes to avoid, how to manage your digital marketing presence and what wider developments may affect your ability to use the technologies effectively.

Workshop 2 with Andrew Morton - Ensuring your Social Media: Key hints and tips to improve your social media campaigns

This workshop is for those who want to better know how to use social media. You will be introduced to the opportunities and limitations of key channels. We'll investigate the value of using social networks for paid for advertising, brand community activity and customer services. We'll explore some key practical tools and resources that can help make you more effective and efficient including the use of free or 'nearly-free' campaign management and evaluation tools that could save time and money whilst building your social media reach.

Both workshops will start at 6pm. After the workshops there will be refreshments available, and you will have the opportunity to network with other attendees and ask our experts questions.
