Digital Pioneers Lunch and Learn - Demystifying Digital Regulations
Digital Pioneers Lunch and Learn - Demystifying Digital Regulations in Healthcare
The event will focus on the work happening in the North East and North Cumbria.
Have you attended previous AHSN NENC sessions and heard the term ‘Innovation Pathway’ and wondered what it means?
Do you understand the value of market research?
You might have an idea or project but don’t know the first thing about intellectual property. Have you thought about the benefits of Real world evaluation or Patent and public involvement and engagement?
Or maybe you have been left bamboozled over digital regulation in healthcare.
On 10 November we launched our informal, virtual ‘lunch and learn’ sessions aimed at the Primary Care workforce in North East and North Cumbria. Dial in to hear sessions from our colleagues about all this and more! At the end of each session there will be 5 minutes for any questions and you can book in time with an AHSN NENC representative to talk about any innovative ideas or challenges you have.
We hope these sessions give the primary care workforce an opportunity to learn more about innovation and how the AHSN NENC can support innovators from conception of an idea to spread and adoption. We have planned a series of 6 events to launch, the sessions will be ongoing and we want them to be driven by you – so get in touch with emma.richardson@ahsn-nenc.org.uk if there’s a topic you would like to hear or learn more about.
Demystifying Digital Regulations in Healthcare - Rachael Forbister, Digital Transformation Programme Manager
Regulations can ‘baffle’ even the most experienced innovators, add in the word digital and some of us can get a total mind block! Let us demystify digital regulation in healthcare with this short lunch and learn session.
During this session we will talk about the minimum standards expected by the NHS for digital innovations, the process of DTAC and outline the NICE digital ESF.

Digital Pioneers
Digital Pioneers is a new programme of work that has the potential to transform areas of primary care as we know it.
The programme aims to facilitate collaboration, exchange ideas and support the scale and spread of digital health innovations within primary care, to improve the quality of care to patients and support the workforce to deliver better healthcare for all.
By providing opportunities for digital innovation and using digital technologies where appropriate, the Digital Pioneers programme will provide better access to digital care and services in primary care, and empower people to be partners in their own health and care needs. We want this to lead to improved patient satisfaction and reduced inequalities within our population.
During the session
We will keep participants muted whilst we are presenting. This avoids distracting our speakers and also reduces sensory stimulation which is important for some people. However, if you wish to ask a question you can do this by adding it in the chat box. Please feel free to turn your camera on and off as you need to. If you need it off the whole time, that is totally fine.
If you need a break at any time during the session then please leave the meeting and re-join again when you feel ready.
