The exponential increase in the use of - and dependency on - digital technologies over the past 75 years and their integration into almost all aspects of our daily lives raises a crucial question today: to what extent are we, the users, truly protagonists in the resultant decision-making process shaping our future? The platform we are using is Airmeet, which is browser-based. This works in all major browsers, but is best experienced on Chrome (which can be downloaded free onto any of your devices). To avoid interference, do have only one browser open. If you get a ‘your device is not supported’ or ‘your browser is not supported’ message when you join the event, select the ‘Join in Lite Mode’ option.
On the event page, click on ‘Enter Airmeet’. You will be asked to enter some additional information. This will help the speakers and fellow participants know a little bit about you. All fields are required, but if you don’t want to share some information just enter ‘NA’.
On entering the event you may be asked to share your camera and microphone. You do not have to do this as we will not be asking attendees onto the screen. If you do share your camera and microphone, be assured that this will not be shared or viewed by anyone.

The event is being recorded and will be available for viewing (via www.WhatNext4UN.org) soon after the end of the festival on 24th October.
