Youth Theatre Arts Scotland(YTAS) is the national development organisation and umbrella body for Scotland’s extensive and vibrant youth theatre community.We aimto transform lives through youth theatre by developing inspiring participatory opportunities for young people in Scotland, and by connecting, supporting and training the professionals who work with them.

Learn everything you need to know about the 2022-2023 iteration of Youth Theatre Arts Scotland's Directors' Development Programme.

This information session is a check-in for potential applicants and/or organisations who may be interested in collaborating with an applicant for Youth Theatre Arts Scotland’s Directors&#x27; Development Programme, an eight-month mentoring and development programme for eight selected youth theatre directors. The Directors’ Development Programme is an extended creative development and career-progression programme for experienced directors of youth theatre. Through the programme participants will be encouraged to take risks in their practice and further their aspirations as theatre-makers. Applications to take part open on 25 May 2022 for the acclaimed programme, which will run from August 2022 to March 2023.The information session is a chance to learn more about...<ul><li>the programmed events </li><li>the partners </li><li>the practitioners and team working on the project </li><li>time commitments for applicants </li><li>the final presentations.</li></ul>It is also a chance to ask questions about the application process, the bursaries and programme logistics. The session will be hosted by Emma Barr, YTAS’s Sector Development Manager and lead contact on the project, with support from Kenny McGlashan, CEO, and Catherine Makin, Projects Producer. We are pleased to offer our Directors&#x27; Development Programme with the support of our partners, the Edinburgh International Festival and Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, and funders the Gannochy Trust, Foyle Foundation and William Syson Foundation.
