About this Event

Participants to this webinar will be given access to some of our resources free of charge.

PowerLanguage is a leading force in the field of language learning and teaching in schools and the wider community. Our innovative teaching methodology combined with our technological expertise help us provide meaningful and stimulating online resources. PowerLanguage was created in Scotland in 2006 and is pioneering a new generation of resources for learners, practitioners and policy makers. The days of cumbersome folders and set text books to suit all schools are over! Developing skills using age-appropriate resources, ensuring progression, flexibility, depth and breadth of learning is at the heart of PowerLanguage for Schools.

We provide resources for teachers and learners on our two websites:

PowerLanguage for Schools ( is used by over 50% of Scottish Local authorities and an increasing number of schools in Wales and Australia. Our platform is designed to help teachers embed languages across the curriculum and their learning context. We adapt to practitioners, not the opposite!

See Video 1 below.

We have also developed strategies for parental engagement and blended learning through our online courses. Powerlanguage Courses ( offers various online courses in French, Spanish, German and Mandarin Chinese, promoting lifelong and blended learning.

These courses include:

French and Spanish for Teachers designed for non-specialists teachers or practitioners wanting to refresh their language skills as well as language teaching and learning methodology.

French, Spanish, German and Mandarin designed to assist non-specialist teachers introduce a second additional language in Primary schools.
