An MA P:DP Presentation

A Postdramatic visual theatre production built from live performance, film, and polaroids.

It begins with an attempt to remember, and with the futility that already lives inside that attempt. A father and daughter appear in pieces: a recorded documentary, bodies on stage, a voice recalling what may or may not have occurred; images rise to the fore. Memory is staged here as a reflex, less a deliberate act of remembering than an involuntary return.

What memory reflects is never the thing itself, but an image, a sound, a gesture bent out of shape by time and distortion. Each carries its own claim to reality, insofar as reality is apprehended by those of you in attendance.
