Divergent Communities CIC - Launch Event
Join us to celebrate the launch of Divergent Communities CIC and connect with charities and CICs across South Tyneside.
Divergent Communities CIC - Launch Event
From the people who brought you Divergent Consulting:
We are starting a CIC!!
Divergent Communities CIC is a new community-focused initiative created to make neurodiversity learning more accessible for charities and CICs across South Tyneside.
1 in 5 of the general population are neurodivergent. But, since they are living life in a world not designed for their brain, they have a MUCH higher chance of falling into vulnerable categories. Luckily, there are also a lot of lovely CICs and charities in South Tyneside supporting vulnerable groups.
We want to help the neurodivergent community as much as we can and a fantastic way to do that is helping the people who help these vulnerable groups.
So please join us to celebrate the launch of Divergent Communities CIC.
This free launch event is an opportunity for charities, CICs, community groups and local organisations to come together, connect and learn more about how Divergent Communities aims to support inclusive workplaces and communities through low-cost neurodiversity training.
The afternoon will begin with a short introduction from Rosie, founder of Divergent Communities CIC, sharing the vision behind the organisation and why this work matters locally. We are also delighted to welcome Ruth Parker, Chief Executive of Emmaus North East, who will speak about her experience working with Rosie and the impact neurodiversity training has had within her teams.
We will then have a 45minute interactive workshop and work out how we can best support our community.
Bubbles and other refreshments will be provided.
It should be a really lovely afternoon – we look forward to seeing you there!
