Diversithon

PRISM aims to promote a multi-ethnic and inclusive environment.In order to achieve this, we work with key stakeholders and the Crick's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee to ensure that the Crick’s plans, strategies and policies are inclusive, especially those that relate to recruitment, personal development and career progression.We also support staff and students who encounter or witness direct or indirect discrimination, and promote race equality and cultural diversity at the Crick through events and online resources.

PRISM - the Francis Crick Institute's Race Equity Network

On Wednesday 26th June we will be holding our second Diversithon here at the Crick, where we will focus on making or improving Wikipedia entries of notable BAME scientists, clinicians and inventors. Special guest Alice White from Wellcome Collection will be on hand to help.

Wikipedia is one of the most-used websites in the world, and is an important resource for science. This event will help you build the skills to contribute to and improve Wikipedia. These are useful skills for any researcher with an interest in communicating science. Wikipedia is part of the scholarly communication system and you should know how to be part of the Wikipedia information ecosystem.
