A roundtable event addressing the lack of diversity of academic staff in STEM

The College of Social Sciences Addressing Inequalities Interdisciplinary Research Theme and the School of Education at the University of Glasgow are hosting a roundtable event entitled, &#x27;Addressing the lack of diversity of academic staff in STEM, in the context of increasing job precarity&#x27;. This knowledge-sharing event will focus on the increasing prevalence of precarious and casualised contracts and the ongoing, seemingly intractable problem of the lack of diversity of academic staff within STEM disciplines. We are delighted to be joined by:•	Mr Abimbola Abodunrin, Postgraduate Researcher from the School of Education at the University of Glasgow•	Professor Nazira Karodia, Deputy Vice Chancellor and Vice Principal Learning &amp; Teaching from Edinburgh Napier University•	Dr Belgin Okay-Somerville, Senior Lecturer (Management), from the Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow•	Dr Gabriella Rodolico, Lecturer (Science Education) from the School of Education at the University of GlasgowWe believe that this roundtable discussion will provide a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange and will help to identify practical solutions for addressing these equity issues in STEM fields.This event will be held on the 22nd of May, 10am-12pm, the Halliday Room, Floor 3 of the School of Law at the University of Glasgow.
