DMLab North-West: Accessible Music-Making

DMLab North-West: Accessible Music-Making

SODA (School of Digital Arts)Manchester, England
Tuesday, Jan 27 from 6 pm to 8:30 pm GMT
Overview

A space for Disabled and Non-Disabled musicians, technologists, and makers to exchange practices and explore new accessible instruments!

We're delighted to be back at School of Digital Arts (SODA) in Manchester for the latest installement of our inclusive music-making project, DMLab North-West.

What to expect

brief -> idea -> prototype!

Aheadof our Accessible Instrument Hackathon in April, we’ll be getting some practice in coming up with musical access solutions, responding to some briefs as a group. We’ll be chatting about which kinds of beginner-friendly hardware and software platforms can help us realise our ideas!

As always, there’ll be hands-on opportunities to experiment with accessible music technology, as well as plenty of time for conversations and chats with like-minded folk.

Have a project you want to share?

Bringit along to share it with the group for Show & Tell!

Have some music technology you want help with?

Bring it along for Tech Clinic and we’ll give you a hand!

Have a music tech access issue you want help with?

Bring it along and we’ll see what we can do!
