Do It Again Dan was formed in 2017 by brothers Dave and John Hutber, lifelong and passionate Steely Dan fans. The band has grown and now includes talented musicians from Malvern, Birmingham, Oxford and Bristol.
After starting off in a local pub garden and church, the band now plays across the Midlands in a variety of festivals, theatres and community venues to appreciative Steely Dan fans old and new.
Feedback from gigs has been fantastic.
"Just this second come back from the gig and I'm still blown away- yes BLOWN AWAY by the experience. What you've organised is miraculous and is possibly the most exciting band I've ever seen live. I mean it: the gig was surreal! Great rhythm section, great singers, horns, arrangements- everything was bang on. I won't sleep for a week now."
The band is led by Dave Hutber on keys, who also arranges the music. His brother John is lead guitarist, with Julian Powell on drums, Graham Niblett on bass guitar and Ryan Kelford on rhythm guitar. The lead singer is Eddie Paisley, with Ryan stepping in at times, plus backing singers Zoe Hutber, Marie-Therese King and Gwen Woodfield. Finally the 4-piece horn section featuring Carl Levoguer- trumpet, Maks Dmytruk- alto sax , Mike Halliday- tenor sax and Dave Whittle- baritone sax. The band's clear sound is enabled by the use of in-ear monitoring, with the expertise of their lighting and sound engineer Mike Burstow.
