<DIV>If you remember 1979, join Sheffield artists Eelyn Lee and Max Munday for two workshops exploring our memories of 40 years ago. From big political events to small personal experiences, these workshops will explore the cause and effect of past events on how we live today.</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>During the workshops you will learn about sound recording techniques to collect personal testimony and ambient sounds that will be edited together to create a soundscape of memories and reflections about the past, present and future.</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>There are two connected workshops - Thursday 14 and Thursday 21 March, 6-8pm. Participants from the first session will collect audio recordings during the following week and bring them to the second session. You can book for each workshop via the Eventbrite link on each Facebook event page.</DIV>

<DIV>We will visit the Re-Collections exhibition in the main gallery; share stories of 1979 and learn about recording techniques for creating multi layered soundscapes.</DIV>

<DIV><STRONG>Workshop Two</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>You will be invited to bring along a young person to the second session, during which we will explore how events of 40 years ago play out today. You will learn how to use simple audio software to edit an evocative collective soundscape that will be shared online.</DIV>
