Join the Fabian Society, JRF and Poverty2Solutions for this fringe event at Labour party conference 2019.

Glyndebourne Room, Holiday Inn Brighton 

The Fabian Society are working with an activist group called Poverty2Solutions, a coalition of three grassroots groups with lived experience of poverty, to launch their campaign Do Your Duty for Equality!. This campaign calls for the adoption of the socio-economic duty, through implementing Section 1 of the Equality Act 2010, to put tackling socio-economic inequality at the heart of decision-making. We very much hope the event, which is being supported by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, will play a critical role in raising the profile of the campaign ask. Done well, not only would it rectify a glaring omission in the law, but it could also herald a step-change in progress towards achieving a more equal and poverty-free UK.
