For this month's Doc Nights we will be hosting a screening of Underplayed followed by live DJ sets from to be announced artists.Electronic music was born from the side of the diversity, community, and inclusivity; yet in the last two years only 7% of Billboard's Top 100 DJs were women. Film over the summer festival season, Underplayed presents a portrait of the current status of the gender, ethnic, and sexual equality issue through the lens of the female pioneers, next-generation artists, and industry leaders who are championing the change, and inspiring more diverse pool of role models for future generations. Ultimately, the film explores how gender disparity happens; a theme that transcends music and finds relevance in many of today's industries.Featuring artists Rezz, Alison Wonderland, TokiMonsta, Tygapaw, Nightwave, Sherelle, Nervo and Louisahhh.Directed by Stacey Lee, 87min, 2020, CanadaGrab your ticket and come join us on Thursday 26th May at 7pm!See you there!
