Q: Who delivers the Doctoral Training Programme 'Collections-based research' series?

This series is led by Dr Rhi Smith, Director of Academic Learning and Engagement for Museums & Collections. Professional staff from the MERL and the University of Reading's special collections and archives team support the sessions.

Overview

Develop skills for Public Engagement with Research (PER) and have impact with collections

In collaboration with the University of Reading Museums & Collections award winning Learning and Engagement team, this session helps you engage different audiences with your research. The team will introduce you to audience development techniques, some common forms of engagement in museums and collections and help you evaluate your impact. You will leave with a rough plan for a collections engagement event.
