This 40-minute documentary explores identity, resilience, and cultural narratives through the story of Ma Anand Sheela, known globally from Wild Wild Country and Searching for Sheela. This intimate portrait goes beyond headlines to reflect on the complexities of legacy and womanhood.
Following the screening, take part in a Q&A with creator Mahesvari Autar, a cultural producer dedicated to amplifying the voices of the Indian Diaspora in the Netherlands. The conversation will touch on portraying public figures in documentary film, the representation of women in media, and the evolving experiences of cultural identity within the Indian Diaspora.
