<a href="https://doesliverpool.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">DoES Liverpool</a> is an independent makerspace, co-working space, education space and events space founded in 2011. Much of its epic work is led by volunteers, and it is a self-funded community interest company, with all profits put back into the community.As a last hoorah for DoES 'Boost' member and cycling comedian <a href="https://kirstystyles.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Kirsty Styles</a>, and a first hoorah for some (un)willing DoES members and friends, volunteers have been invited to do a 10-minute comedy performance about... anything they bloody well like.Made something? Done something? Found something? Know something? Much like turning up at our weekly Maker Night – you'll have to wait to find out!We'll also be joined by poet, writer and cyclist Caroline Burrows (VerseCycle) who has been touring herTurning Pedals into Poems one-woman show on her bike across the UK during 2022. Her poetry has featured on BBC Radio 4 and many more.The idea is based on <a href="https://brightclub.wordpress.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Bright Club –</a> an academic comedy night which started at University College London but is now a global network – and if they can make academics funny... we'll be fine. Kirsty also created <a href="https://standupforjournalism.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Standup for Journalism</a>... and no one really likes journalists.Any questions, contact Kirsty at kestyles1@gmail.com.
