Create a bespoke coat for your pampered pooch

Please note - all our workshops start at 10 a.m. - we would be grateful if you did not arrive before 9.45 a.m.

CONTENT

Create a bespoke coat for your pampered pooch. You will need to bring your dog's measurements (see below) and then create a customised coat. It is fastened with hook and loop fastening around the neck and belly band, and lined with a light wadding to keep them warm.

What we will provide:

Hook and Loop fastening

Bias binding if required

Basic sewing kit (unless you bring your own)

Tea/Coffee and biscuits!

What you will need to bring:

We would prefer you to bring your own sewing machine but if this is not possible we do have a range of machines you can hire for £5 on the day.

Measurements! - Please measure your dog from where the collar sits, to the base of the tail (where the tail joins the body). Also please measure loosely around your dog's neck (collar size) and around the widest part of your dog's 'chest' (behind the front legs). You can measure in inches or centimetres.

Two fabrics, one for the outer and one for the lining. Please note we are not making a waterproof coat so do not bring oilcloth or coated fabrics.

You can use cotton, denim, linen, upholstery fabric or even light blankets. The lining fabric can be similar or even a fleece blanket or throw (cheaply available in supermarkets or bargain stores.
