BACK FOR 2025! FUTURES is a FREE festival of discovery, funded by UKRI and taking place in the South West across venues in Bath, Bristol, Devon, Exeter, Plymouth and online this Autumn.

Join us at Bath Spa University’s Locksbrook Campus for an exciting, hands-on event where creativity meets real-world impact.Explore how artists, dancers and designers uncover new ideas and drive positive change in areas like urban spaces and habitats, climate change, and cultural exploration.Take part in drop-in workshops designed for all ages and skill levels—making this the perfect half-term activity for families and learners looking for something fun and creative.Be sure to explore the inspiring exhibition, featuring innovative work by our Graduate Researchers—ranging from sculpture and performance to immersive installations.Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to get hands-on and inspired this half-term! PROGRAMME OF DROP-IN WORKSHOPS FROM 10AM-1PM: Curious Artefacts: An all-age sculpting workshop inspired by museum artefacts. Come and make your very own artefact with artist Asha Uberoi using clay, plasticene, and other bits and bobs. Is it a familiar texture, a distinctive sound, or the people that hang out there? Using traditional paper-making techniques. we’ll investigate the relationship between domestic laundry and ocean pollution. Also try your hand at making patterns and shapes with coloured paper pulp created from recycled wastepaper. Through a series of movement prompts, you will be invited to become an object or aspect of the surrounding environment. You’ll be given lots of different tools to record and translate your experiences.
