JUMBLE: What makes a space feel like it’s yours? Is it a familiar texture, a distinctive sound, or the people that hang out there? What do your community spaces look and feel like, and how can we reimagine, celebrate or protect them?

In this clay-based workshop, join artist Ellie Spink to investigate the everyday textures and objects that make up the places we spend time together, and begin to imagine what our perfect community space could look like.

Working with Paper: In these workshops with artist Claire Gutsell, you’ll make your own paper from recycled wastepaper and lint. Using traditional paper-making techniques. we’ll investigate the relationship between domestic laundry and ocean pollution. Also try your hand at making patterns and shapes with coloured paper pulp created from recycled wastepaper. This is a fun workshop that will help you to explore a new way of creating using materials that are not harmful to the environment

Moving as Place through Body: In this workshop with artist and dancer Bhavana Ram Mohan, you'll explore how bodily movement, text and mark-making may be used as tools to allow the environment to tell us things. Through a series of movement prompts, you will be invited to become an object or aspect of the surrounding environment. You’ll be given lots of different tools to record and translate your experiences.
