Join us for an evening of community and celebration, as we host our biggest fundraising event of the year for the vital Generate project.

<h3>Having recently launched a Crowdfunder campaign to secure the future of the beloved Generate dementia arts project, we’re excited to be hosting an evening dedicated to celebrating the wonderful participants involved in the project, and the many generous donors in the community who have helped us raise money so far. </h3>As part of the event, we will be hosting a raffle with some brilliant prizes on offer all generously donated by some fantastic local businesses and organisations, including two tickets to Phil Wang’s show at the Portsmouth Guildhall this autumn, a tour of Portsmouth Distillery, a family ticket for the D Day Story, a £100 Wight Link voucher, a beauty treatment at Green Mango Salon, two tickets to a Paint Chill Co evening, merch by Sea Dog Print and many more! Raffle tickets cost £2 a ticket, and can be purchased ahead of the event at Aspex Portsmouth or on the evening of the event.We will also be launching our exclusive ‘Generated in Lockdown’ recipe book created by the Generate group, and you can explore a pop-up exhibition featuring works produced by the Generate group and watch a screening of our Generate short film created in collaboration with Strong Island Media. Port Coffee will be open serving drinks and nibbles throughout the evening.Tickets for this event are ‘pay what you can’ and all proceeds will go towards the Generate project. We appreciate any donation you are able to make. Having a regular slot on a Friday morning to meet up with others and be creative has become a really important part of my week. And the very positive attitude of Roy and Abi makes me feel my work is worthwhile.’ Generate participantAlongside the creative workshops, Aspex also supports a self-run carers support group, which provides a much needed respite and an opportunity for carers to talk and share with others who empathise with and understand their situation.‘I enjoy the support and friendship of other carers, the advice and sense of the shared experience. It’s encouraging to know that one is not alone.’ Generate carerGenerate offers a vital lifeline for the local community, and as one of the only projects of its kind in Portsmouth, we now need your support to raise £10,000 to continue this important project. The money raised will be used to support the general running costs of the project and will create further opportunities for participants to explore their creative potential and build crucial support networks through group trips, developmental activities, and more. W﻿e want to say a HUGE thank you to the fantastic local businesses, organisations, and artists who have donated raffle prizes and helped us to deliver the event.
