Don't Blend In - Comedy Night
Bournemouth's best new Comedy Night!
Bournemouth's best new Comedy Night!
Welcome back to Don't Blend In.
Hosted in the old Daily Echo print room, it promises to be a night you don't want to miss.
After the huge success of the first two events, Archie Brettle is back. He will once again be your master of ceremonies, delivering "Incredible Energy" - Anonymous Attendee
Another audience member regarded him as "Confident, professional, fun, funny, can tell his heart is in it, made for the stage."
But enough about him, "Who is on stage?", I hear you cry.
Headlining the night is the utterly hilarious Aaron Simmonds
Aaron Simmonds has been failing to stand up for 36 years; luckily, he is far better at comedy than standing up.
Aaron was a finalist at the BBC New Comedian of the Year and won Jewish Comedian of the Year 2017 (Both of which were fully wheelchair accessible). His debut show at the 2019 Edinburgh Festival was nominated for Best Comedy Show by Broadway World UK and was a finalist for The Amused Moose Best Show.
As seen on QI (BBC), The Russell Howard Hour (Sky1), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Guessable (Comedy Central) and Rob Beckett's Undeniable (Comedy Central)
"What’s most notable about Simmonds is his skill as a raconteur, never losing the audience for a moment." - Chortle.
"Easy to see why he's an award winner." - The Scotsman
Opening the show is Ryan Murphy
Ryan Murphy is a Hampshire-based comedian whose comedy lives somewhere between relatable and “should I be laughing at this?”
Known for sharp misdirection and dark punchlines, he specialises in making normal situations uncomfortable very quickly.
Des Grant is a Glaswegian comedian based in the New Forest, which is exactly as confusing as it sounds. His dark comedy explores the grim, the awkward, and the morally questionable, delivered with a distinctly Scottish lack of apology.
Rookie of the Year - Hampshire Comedian of The Year 2025
2nd Place - Hampshire Comedian of The Year 2025
Confirming that his humour is both award-winning and deeply concerning.
Charly Armstrong is Witty and acerbic, delivering a bizarre peek into the ramblings of a bemused feminist mind beset with historical inaccuracies and unsettling introspection.
