Construction is well underway on one of the most exciting development projects in Europe which will see the Royal Albert Dock in London’seastEnd transformed into the capital’s third business and financial district. It is being created especially for businesses from Asia looking to reach new markets in Europe and for local companies seeking to do business with them. The 4.7 million sq ft development comprises mainly offices but with residential, retail and public realm and the £1.7 billion project close to London City Airport and Custom House Crossrail station is within the Royal DocksEnterprizeZone with rents far lower than Stratford, Canary Wharf and City fringe.

FREE ART EXHIBITION AND WALKING TRAILBY LOCAL ILLUSTRATOR MATT PONTINGOpen every Friday till Sunday, 12:00PM - 6:00PM (31.08.2019 - 29.09.2019)Come and discover the delights of the docks in this colourful interactive art exhibition by local illustrator Matt Ponting. Set inside one of RAD’s brand new spaces overlooking the waterfront, there’s over 30 dock illustrations on display, accompanied by fun facts so you can learn about the history and future of The Royal Docks. DROP-IN WORKSHOP SESSIONS31.08.2019 AND 21.09.2019SATURDAY 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM Want to get even more creative? Come along to one of our #DoodlingTheDocks art workshops held in August with Matt where you can create your own 3D docks collage. The Doodling the Docks workshop will be an opportunity to create a unique version of the royal docks to take away. Visitors can colour printed outlined versions of the illustrations created for the exhibition, cut them out and stick these on front of a dock landscape. They can also draw their own buildings and scenes from their exploration or inspired by the scene outside the gallery.The workshop will be free and visitors can take away their creations. The artist will be on hand to assist the makers.Open to all ages.
