He works from home in Northumberland, the English county of castles and coastlines, with organisations around the world.Doug’s best known for his work on digital literacies, Open Badges, and decentralisation. He wrote his doctoral thesis on digital literacies, and was part of the original Open Badges team at Mozilla (also consulting widely on the subject). Between 2018 and 2020, Doug put together a talented team to build MoodleNet, the world’s first decentralised, resource-centric social network for educators.
