Draft Climate Plan Consultation - Shetland

Draft Climate Plan Consultation - Shetland

Islesburgh Community CentreLerwick, Shetland
Thursday, Jan 22 from 6 pm to 8 pm GMT
Overview

Share your views to help shape the final version of Scottish Government's Climate Plan.

The Scottish Government has launched its draft Climate Change Plan for the period 2026-2040.

The Plan sets out how Scotland will reduce greenhouse gas emissions over that period, whilst making sure the transition to net zero is fair, practical and supportive. It recognises that change needs to happen across society; in how we heat our homes, travel, use land, produce energy, run businesses and support communities, and that people need clear, accessible information to take part in that journey.

Up until the end of January 2026, you can provide your views to help shape the final version of the Plan. Voluntary Action Shetland will be running a workshop on Thursday 22nd January at Islesburgh Community Centre to gather feedback on the proposals set out in the Plan.

We hope you will join us to discuss this important plan.
