About this course

What is the intent of the course

  • To enable the group to bond together through games and exercises.
  • To use drama exercises, convention and script to explore themes and ideas.
  • To support the group to generate ideas, devise and structure a piece of theatre that could be performed to an invited audience in the learning space at the end of the day.

What will learners achieve by the end of the course?

  • Recall technical terms
  • Discuss ideas confidently
  • Apply learning by taking part in drama games and exercises
  • Being able to examine the use of techniques and ideas in published work
  • Evaluate their own and their peers’ work to improve the piece of theatre
  • Create a short play/ piece of theatre to be performed to an invited audience

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
