Draw, Build, Play!

The Bright Emporium is a space like no other. Our walls are adorned with books, so you’d be forgiven for thinking we are a library — although there is definitely nothing quiet about us! We are a space for creatives, the dreamers and the fun seekers. For children who want to try new things and meet new friends — to those who want a place to be themselves. We are a destination for the next generation of creators, not users; the pioneers of tomorrow.We are more than just one thing. We are a shop, a venue hire and gallery of artwork, but above all we are an immersive space. Every weekend, we open our doors, and with it children’s minds, delving into the imaginative world of their favourite authors and illustrators. We practice what we preach, running a wide range of creative workshops that encourage people to see the world a little differently, to problem-solve and think independently. From drawing to acting, creative writing to crafting, to messy play and story time, there is a workshop for everyone ranging from 0-11 years old.We are a place of discovery and exploration, so be a Bright Spark and join us.

The Bright Emporium

Great ideas have to start somewhere, a tiny seed that grows into a beautiful plant or the floorplans of a building that turn into an iconic landmark- everything has a starting point. If you are a dreamer, if you have a wonderful imagination or if you love to play this is the workshop for you!
Our wondeful gallery Assistants- Sophia and Safiya will be starting you off with a theme- this could be the jungle, space, the desert or whatever comes into their imagination. Your job is dream up and draw what you'd like to make bsed on the theme set. Once you've drawn your idea out we need to get building- using the materials provided such as Lego to bring your idea to life. Now it's your chance to play with what you've made! 
We’ll keep your masterpieces in store on display.
This workshop is for 5-7 year olds.
