Drawing Class, photo realism style. Sip and Draw

Thursday May 29th. Starts 7pm for 1 hour 30 mins. We want you to be able to relax and help to create an atmosphere that is social and non judgemental. Come and have a glass of wine at Alfies bar in the gallery.

Akin has set the class up so no matter what level you are at with your practice, your learning will be aligned.

So a little about Akin. We met him after he took part in an exhibition here last year, he brought these incredible pieces of his art to display, the guy is a bit of a drawing legend. He is also one of the most personable people you will ever meet. Anyone who joins this class will be very lucky to have this opportunity to learn from him. He has been crafting his art professionally since lock down but has been in the creative field all of his life. Has exhibited in the Barbican and Kensington Palace.

The class.

Classes will be monthly, taking on a different subject matter in each class. It doesnt matter if you havent attended previous classes. Each class takes on a whole new subject.

This class will be all about drawing a photorealistic nose. You will be using coloured pencils (supplied) and depending on where you are at in your skill level, there will be various outlines all ready prepared for you. Part of the skill and enjoyment is learning how to blend and use the colours, which Akin will be able to teach you.

The workshop takes place in the heart of Firepit Art Gallery around the workshop table.

We have subsidised the ticket price to keep it affordable £10 this includes all the equipment you need for the class.

We also have 2 pay what you can tickets. Please only use these if you are struggling financially.

Class starts at 7pm, you are welcome to come earlier and enjoy the gallery space.

Photography and Filming take place during workshops and gallery opening times. Please let us know if you do not want to be on film. All material captured is used for either our social media or future promotion.

Firepit is a unique space, we have a gallery of beautiful and relevant art, artist studio spaces and a community event space. We will hold the drawing class on a large communal table, next to the windows. You are in the heart of the gallery here and are surrounded by inspirational art.
