Dream and Make: Material Play

Spike Island Artspace LtdBristol, England
Tuesday, Feb 17 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm GMT
Overview

A casting workshop for children aged 5-11 years old and their carers, led by Laura Phillimore.

In this Dream and Make workshop, young artists will explore variety of 3D making processes such as building and casting, inspired by Spike Island’s current exhibition, Phillip Lai: RAIN / RUIN.

Working with everyday materials, children and their carers will work together to create playful structures inspired by the shapes and patterns in everyday life. You will experiment with simple plaster casting techniques to create your own imprints and objects to take away.

This session is for children aged 5-11 years old and their carers. No previous experience in art making is required and all materials are provided.

Please note: Attendees should wear clothes they don’t mind getting messy.
