Theatre Deli exists to support theatremakers and artists in the creation of their work.The main way in which we do this is by working with commercial property owners to make use of empty buildings where we create artistic hubs. These house performance spaces, rehearsal rooms, offices, studios and workshops that we open up for theatrical, artistic and charitable use.Our main focus is on supporting emerging theatremakers working at the cutting edge of theatre practice, particularly those working in non-traditional forms – whether that be through exploring the nature of the theatrical space, immersive experiences, game-playing, live art or other manifestations of performance which cross boundaries and defy definition.

Bed 6, Oncology ward, a local NHS hospital.Behind the blue curtain - Daniel, a refugee from Eritrea, now training to be a nurse; Rahmiya, a second-generation immigrant Muslim doctor; and David, elderly white cancer patient and discredited academic, fretting about his cat, Roger. Over time, carers and cared-for become an unlikely, dysfunctional family.But as life ebbs, reality splinters. Glimpsed in the cracks: the Nazi euthanasia programme, a burns clinic in Africa, a cross-Channel human shipment. And drip by drip David’s far-right ideology seeps out, as he prepares his final incendiary lecture (assuming he lives long enough to give it).  Bonds break, and suddenly both Daniel and Rahmiya’s right to call the UK home seems to hang on a dead man’s lips.Pipeline Theatre, known for indelible characters and immersive design, takes you into the dark corners with unexpected humour and poignancy, busting taboos while offering its love-letter to the NHS.Ages 14+After the show there will be a Q&amp;A session giving an opportunity to talk things through with the writer/director Jon Welch, the cast and the rest of the audience. Pipeline Theatre have come to consider post-show Q&amp;A&#x27;s an essential part of their offering and hope that you can join them to share your response to the play and your own related experiences. We produce character driven new writing, seeking to unpeel complex social issues, with nuance, humour, indelible human stories, and immersive design. We’ve been nominated for the Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award and recently broke box-office records at the Drum, Plymouth Theatre Royal.
